World Handicap System

As you may have heard, the World Handicap System is being introduced to harmonise the handicap system worldwide on the 2nd November 2020. This will replace the current CONGU handicap system that we have all used to date.
 
Each member is required to register with Golf Ireland and in doing so check that their playing record is correct – current handicap and cards submitted. Members can do so using their Club membership number and their pin number – the 4 digit number on the rear of their membership card. Members are requested to do this before the 31st October 2020. Members should use the membership number of their “Home” Club only.
 
To do this:
 
a.       Log on to the http://www.golfireland.ie/

b.      On top right hand corner “click” onto handicap/login

c.       If you have never registered before you will need to create a password. So “click” on “Create an account”. You will need your membership number your pin number from back of membership card and your own password – minimum 7 characters

d.      Once you receive a return email you will then need to “click” into the link provided and register using your own password

e.      Once registered please check to make sure your details including handicap record is correct. If they are not correct, please contact the Club by email.
