Our wonderful feathered friends - the skylarks have begun their beautiful songs that signal the start of a new season. We welcome our new members, several of whom have complimented the fabulous condition of the course throughout the winter and the warm welcome received in the clubhouse.
Thanks must go to our Greenkeeper, Paul and his team and to Mary, Ruth and the clubhouse staff for providing such a wonderful experience for members old and new as well as our numerous visitors.

As the new season begins and members are paying their annual subscriptions, the issue of Golf Insurance has been raised at committee.
The current position of the club is that everyone received their subscription renewal which included an itemised breakdown of the fees. One of the items was Golfsure insurance. Any member who has not paid that portion of their subscription will not be insured on the golf course unless they have made other arrangements. Please see below the outline of the cover provided by Golfsure. 

Well done to club members Luke Kelly and Darcy Hogg on being part of Belfast Inst. Ulster Senior Schools Golf Championship winning team. They defeated Belfast Royal Academy and Sullivan Upper in yesterday’s semi-final and final at Kirkiston Castle.  Luke and Darcy put in strong performances in both their matches en route to claiming the Ulster trophy. RBAI now progress to represent Ulster in the All Ireland Schools final in June. ​

Just a reminder if you are interested in entering a team in this year’s Pro-Am on the 8th & 9th June please let Mary know ASAP. At this point in time we have 45 teams entered. As we are only allowed to enter 50 teams this year it would be wise to let me know as soon as possible if you would like to enter a team.

Also a reminder of our wine and cheese evening on Saturday the 23rd March commencing at 7.30pm kindly hosted by our Vice Captain’s Bill and Paula McCallion. We would really appreciate your support for this evening so please put the date in your diary and come along for a great night’s craic.
