Saturday's 18 hole stableford was won by Margaret Witherow (15) with 38
pts, css 35 pts, so Santa will have the scissors out.

There are several open competitions over Christmas and New Year which
ladies may enter.

Christmas Eve - Open 4 BBB stableford,
Monday 26th December - 3 Ball Scramble,
Sunday 1st January - 3 Ball Better Ball,
Tuesday 3rd January - Ladies' Open Single Stableford.
The Captains' Drive Ins will take place on Saturday 7th January 2017. 
The format is the usual 4 person scramble, draw for partners and tees. 
Please put names on the list in the club house for the Drive In. All
other competitions can be booked on line or phone the club house.

Prize Giving Dinner and End of Year Prize Presentation was held on Friday Evening past. Congratulations to all the prize winners.

Week ending 4th December

At the recent AGM the ladies welcomed next year's officers, Lady President Doreen Bolton,  Lady Captain Nora Crumlish and Lady Vice Captain Janice Doherty.   Good luck to all the officers and ladies for 2017 and please enjoy your golf.

Golfer of the year for the second consecutive year is Laura McElhinney. 

Well done to all.

Tuesday's 14 hole was won by Cathleen Boyle (21) 26 pts, and Saturday's 18 hole stableford was won by Teresa Jackson (34) 38 pts, 2nd on BOT June Nelson with 33 pts.
The draw for the hamper is on the web site and please note it has been decided to reduce the competition to 14 holes due to the busy time sheet.

This year's Christmas Hamper stroke competition was played on Sunday the 27th November. Despite the time of year, the weather was quite benign and as usual, the course was in excellent condition. That made for some great scoring but nobody could keep apace with young Conor Hanna who returned a great score of 64 net to win by three shots. In second place was Anthony Gallagher who finished with a 67 net to beat Michael McColgan jnr into third place on BOT. Keith Lapsley won the gross prize, completing his round in 73 shots.
In Saturdays open singles Stableford, Liam Rogers returned a terrific score of 44 points to win by two shots from Cathal Sheridan. Hugh Kelly was third on 38 points while Stephen Henderson won the gross with 27 gross points.
The Wednesday Open Stableford Competition was also a closely fought affair with Patrick Doherty narrowly winning with 42 points from James McCorkell on 41 points. James Comiskey was third on 38 and Don Ponsonby won the gross price with 30 points.
