 The Government, in conjunction with Golf Ireland, has issued a “return to golf protocol” for courses reopening on Monday 26th April. In the initial phase, the course will be open to members only playing social golf. Players must be from no more than 2 households and must book in advance through BRS. The clubhouse will remain closed and the Government has asked that we adopt a policy of “arrive-play-depart without delay”.
For those members wishing to book buggies, please ring Mary in advance. We will update you further when competition golf is likely to resume and when we can offer a bar and catering service. It is with regret, that we announce the death of James Ward brother of Michael, a long standing member of our club. Our thoughts and prayers are with his wife Lena, Michael, Brid and the entire Ward family at this sad time. James' remains will repose at McGlynn's Funeral Home, Dungloe, Co. Donegal. Visitation on Tuesday the 13th of April from 2pm to 6pm in McGlynn's Funeral Home. Removal will take place on Wednesday the 14th of April, travelling to Arranmore on the 9.45am Ferry for 11.00am Mass in St Crones Church, Arranmore followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Mass can be viewed on https://youtube.com Saint Crone's Church, Arranmore Island. May he rest in peace. With the return to golf in sight at the end of the month, we thought that we would whet you appetite, if that were needed. Our Greenkeeper, Paul and his team have been busy with course enhancements and improvements. Paul took time to take a few photos of the work. The major work of raising the 18th tee box, realigning the 18th fairway and construction of the new 15th tee box is now complete. The 13th tee box has been raised and levelled and the bunkers at the first have been remodelled. Roll on the return to golf! |
