John McKendry's Captain's Day

This Saturday 17th August is our Captain John McKendry’s big day. The festivities start with a scramble at 4pm tomorrow evening and we look forward to seeing you all there. We wish Captain John well and we hope the weather is favourable.

​Captain John is looking forward to seeing as many members as possible on Saturday.Everyone is welcome for coffee and scones before Golf (Richard is also cooking up a very "healthy" fry !!)

After Golf there will be a super buffet of poached salmon with mayonnaise, prawns with Marie rose sauce cooked whole ham with mustard on the side, cold breast of chicken with salads...potato, couscous, eggs with mayonnaise and healthy salad leaves. Also freshly baked wheaten bread (and chips!)

Ladies will be warmed with Richard's homemade soup and choices of sandwiches.

This year the Captain’s chosen charity is the Jack and Jill Foundation and instead of bringing gifts he would appreciate it very much if you would make a donation to this very worthy cause. This foundation gives home support to families with a profoundly injured child.  They are currently working with 9 families in Donegal and have supported 62 families in the last 22 years. There will be Jack and Jill literature in the Clubhouse and donation points. In anticipation the Captain would like to thank you all for your generosity.
