On Tuesday 4th July Dunfanaghy welcomed 16 junior members to the club to participate in the Presidents Prize for 2023.
Top prize for the juveniles was won by Daniel McColgan, with Niall Moore & Jack Robinson sharing 2nd spot a few shots back followed by young Billy Callan in 3rd position. Top prize for the junior section was won by Noah Doherty, Colby Farrell, Shane Callan & Oisin Durning. In second place was Ruben McColgan, Eoghan Gallagher, Daithi and Christian with the girls taking 3rd place: Rita Ryan, Katie McColgan, Sara Callan & Rachel Nelson. Big thanks to all the parents & volunteers who help out with the weekly practice sessions, to James Sweeney for sponsoring the top prize of a golf bag and to club Pro Seamus McMonagle for providing these kids with regular support on their golfing journey. Onwards & upwards for junior golf in Dunfanaghy. The future is bright. Saturday 1st July was President’s Day at Dunfanaghy Golf Club. The conditions were very windy but we had a great turnout nonetheless with 148 Ladies & Gents taking part in our now gender-neutral event. Congratulations to President Tony McGilloway on a very successful day. Big thanks to everyone who helped make the day a success. Thankyou to Paddy Farry for kindly donating a new Presidents Prize Cup.
