In a tremendous battle on Sunday morning at Holywood Golf Club the Dunfanaghy boys were narrowly defeated 4-3 by Royal Portrush. The standard of golf played was of the highest level, with many holes being halved in birdies. Ultimately the Portrush team had more strength in depth and a little more experience, which saw them through.
We can be very proud of how well the boys played, and how well they represented our club. The future is bright.
A great weekend was had and it was a wonderful experience for our young team. Many thanks to the host club Holywood who were incredibly hospitable and made us feel very at home. Also many thanks to the parents and spectators who travelled down to watch. Hopefully we will be back on this stage next year.
